Request your "Gift is on its way" cards in time for the holidays

We offered for anyone that bought a book as a gift to receive "Gift is on its way" cards to give as gifts in time for the holidays.
If you want to receive printed copies of these cards by Dec. 20 then you need to contact us with how many you want by Dec. 13. If you request them after that date then we can send a pdf of the card that you can print at home.
The info we need from you is:
How many cards you want and for what version of the book—standard or limited edition
Address and phone number where you want the cards shipped
Sample "Gift is on its way" card (not necessarily exact design)
You can send your request for the cards to [email protected] or you can leave a note for us here on Kickstarter. (Be sure not to leave your private information in a public response to this update. You should send a private comment to us.)

Thank you to all the backers who helped make this project a reality. We couldn't have done it without you. Your support will help to ensure Emil Milan's story is distributed and celebrated—inspiring further generations of artists, curators, collectors, and enthusiasts.

$40,000 Stretch Goal—Help us print more books!
We are thrilled to have reached our Kickstarter goal! We do have an even bigger goal—to share Emil Milan’s story with the largest audience possible.
The funds we have raised so far on Kickstarter will fund the printing of books already pre-ordered through our Kickstarter effort. We set our initial goal low enough to make this book a reality. Although we have been thoughtful and economical in our design and production decisions, it’s still expensive to produce a book worthy of Emil Milan’s craftsmanship and style. We could have made a modest, digitally printed book. But Emil’s words “Make sure that what you make is the best that you can do” guided our design process. We aren’t simply making a book. We are making a book that pays homage to Emil Milan’s life, process, work, and influence. We are inspired to get this great story into the hands of as many people as possible.

“Gift is on its way” Cards
It’s holiday gift giving season so we wanted to offer a way for you to buy copies of the Milan publication as a holiday gift. We will send you a “Gift is on its way” card for you to give it the lucky recipient while the book is being printed. We will either mail you the card by December 20 to give as a gift or we can send you a pdf to print (see sample image of card below). We will follow up immediately after the Kickstarter campaign ends and find out who wants to receive these cards and we will get them mailed out right away. Buy multi-book packages and save on shipping. When the book is ready to deliver in April, 2018 we will confirm if you want all the books shipped to you or if you would like to have the gift book delivered directly to the gift recipient.
Extended early backer pricing
We have re-released ten 2-book sets of the limited edition at the early backer pricing. Buy two and give one as a gift. If you already purchased the limited edition at the regular price then consider buying two and you will save on the cost of both AND save on shipping.
The standard edition early backer pricing will be ending early next week so act now to get the best pricing.
Gift bundles and shipping options
Kickstarter orders deliver first
One of the many benefits of pre-ordering your books on Kickstarter is that you will receive your copies before anyone else. The Kickstarter orders will deliver in April of 2018. Any order received after Kickstarter won’t arrive until May or June of 2018.
4-book sets
In addition to the 2-book sets we have added 4-book sets of both the standard and limited edition books. Buy multiple copies and save on shipping. Four books cost you the same to ship as one.
Buying limited and standard books together
We realize that some backers may want to buy a limited AND standard edition. Maybe you want the limited edition to be kept in perfect condition and you want a standard edition to read. Or maybe you want the limited edition for yourself and to give a standard edition as a gift. Instead of adding these as pledge options, you can just add on the cost of a standard edition to your pledge amount and we will automatically send you an additional standard edition. So, if you buy a limited edition for $149 and you want to get an additional standard edition for $49 then just make your pledge $198 (plus the shipping cost) and we will know you want an additional standard edition. Once the early bird pricing for the standard edition is over then you just add $65 to your order and we’ll know to send you an additional standard edition. Add an additional book as a gift and we will send you the "Gift is on its way" card by December 20.
International buyers
The multi-book sets are a great way for you to save on shipping. Find a friend who wants the book and you both save on shipping. Or give some as gifts. Buy a 4-book set and save even more.
